Toilet Fill Valve Replacement

A customer in South London contacted us after noticing that their toilet was continuously running. The issue was causing water to constantly enter the toilet pan, resulting in unnecessary water wastage. After investigating the issue, we found that the existing toilet fill valve was faulty. This was causing water to continuously run through the overflow and into the toilet pan. We recommended replacing the existing flexible hose with a new one. As with any existing fittings, parts and seals, their condition and future reliability cannot be guaranteed, and replacement can help reduce the risk of potential issues developing in the future.

We located the isolation valve and isolated the water supply to the toilet before removing the existing faulty fill valve. A new toilet fill valve was then installed, with the existing flexible hose reconnected. Once the installation was complete, we turned the water supply back on and thoroughly tested the new fill valve, checking both its operation and the surrounding connections for any leaks. Once all checks had been completed successfully, we reinstated the toilet lid and left everything as we found it.

The faulty toilet fill valve was successfully replaced and tested, restoring the toilet to normal operation and stopping the continuous flow of water into the pan.
